  3. Hi,

I am interested in a men’s bike primarily for road use and some bike track riding.

I saw a black ex-hire bike for sale a couple of weeks ago for $299. Is it still available?

    Thanks and regards – Eugene

  4. Hey mate,
You’re easily my local bike guru so i thought i’d come to you with this question.
Im about to pickup either a Merida Twenty Nine 1000-d 29er hardtail, or a stumpjumper comp 29er hardtail, both are 2011 models.
the specialized has better spec, apart from the problematic brakes.
and i don’t know anything about merida..
My query is this,im 95kg, 6″5 and plan on riding my bike down trails reasonably hard. which one of these would you recommend?
and how much does a service cost?

  5. sorry for late reply, not sure about the Merida, we dont sell them so I dont know specs too well. Specialised we do sell and have had no problems with them. Good work going with the 29er, especially for your height. Our service costs have just been re-jigged, we do a basic check for $35 and most general services tend to itemise out to about $80-$120, cheers, roll on

  6. Hello Libby & Damo!
    Long lost cousin soph here.
I’m thinking about buying a new bike & like the look of some internal hub ones I’ve seen, eg. kona dr good. I like the simplicity of the internal hub but still want to be able to do longer rides (50-100kms). any thoughts? do you guys do bikes like these?
Lots of love to you both.
    soph

  7. Sophie, yes we do, it is sort of our speciality. Drop us a line at info@cogbikecafe.com.au cheers Damo
