The Warby trail is literally right on our doorstep. A great trail that is accessable easily by public transport,(Lilydale station).

Complete length, 40km.  Cog Mt Evelyn is 6km from Lilydale station. If you park at Cog, it is 34km to Warby, ONE WAY.

There is only one alternative route to return from Warburton, the O’Shanessy Aqueduct trail.

Public transport from Warburton is bus only to Lilydale via the Warburton Highway via Wandin. The bus does not go via Mt Evelyn, unfortunately.  This bus MAY allow up to 2 bicycles depending on the bus.

Water points. There are water taps on the trail at Mt Evelyn (outside Cog), Seville (‘the waterhole’), Yarra Junction (at the public toilets) and at Warburton (on the trail just before the waterwheel.
